MATERIALS
The character of Alexander begins with the materials.
We work with carefully selected materials chosen for their texture, structure, warmth and ability to develop character over time.
LEATHER
Leather forms the foundation of the Alexander collection.
We work with different leather types and finishes depending on the design, from smooth and structured surfaces to softer, more supple textures.
Each leather has its own natural characteristics. Variations in grain, texture and tone are inherent to genuine leather and contribute to the individuality
of each garment.
SUEDE
Soft to the touch and distinguished by its characteristic nap, suede brings a more tactile expression to the collection.
Its surface naturally responds to light and movement, giving each garment a distinctive appearance.
SHEARLING
Shearling combines a leather outer surface with natural wool, providing warmth, structure and a distinctive tactile character.
Its natural texture means that no two pieces will be completely identical.
FUR
Our current fur collection includes selected natural fur garments and trims.
Because natural fur is an animal-origin material, individual pieces may display natural variations in colour, texture and density.
Product pages identify the relevant material used in each design.
NATURAL CHARACTER
Natural materials are not perfectly uniform.
Minor variations in grain, texture, colour and surface are natural characteristics rather than defects. They are part of what makes each Alexander garment individual.
